The 5th drawing in my floral series is ‘Chrysanthemum ’ .

Since these flower blooms in the Autumn, the chrysanthemum signifies joy and beauty despite the oncoming winter. Chrysanthemums also symbolise a verity of other meaning including good fortune, prosperity, new beginnings and hope.  Victorians used Chrysanthemums as a symbol of well wishing and friendship. In China they symbolise long life and good luck.
