Initially when I planned the floral series, I planned Peonies for September, but due to a personal loss I thought Forget-Me-Not flowers would be more apt for September. .
Last 2 years of the pandemic have been very challenging for all of us. We all have lost someone or know of someone who lost a loved one. It’s time to remember all we have loved and lost.
According to one German legend, while God was creating and naming all the plants, one tiny plant that was still unnamed called out to Him, saying, “Forget me not, O Lord!” In response, God named the plant with the very same words. That’s how, they say, this tiny plant got his name.
Forget-me-nots symbolize true love and respect. When you give someone these tiny blooms, it represents a promise that you will always remember them and will keep them in your thoughts. They are also considered a symbol of fidelity and faithfulness.
